Kuiper is co-directed by Simone Hine and Kyle Weise.

Hine and Weise are long-term collaborators and were founding co-directors of two galleries in Melbourne: Screen Space (2010-2016), a not-for-profit gallery dedicated to the moving image, and Beam Contemporary (2010-2014), a commercial gallery focused on emerging artists. Together they co-curated the Melbourne Art Fair Video program in 2014, and have co-curated exhibitions at Careof (Milan), Blindside (Melbourne), Window National (multiple USA locations), Brenda May Gallery (Sydney), Boxcopy (Brisbane), MARS (Melbourne) and Metro Arts (Brisbane), among others.

Simone Hine is an artist, curator and writer. Hine’s art practice utilises the pictorial tradition of art (focusing on stillness) to create new narratives out of familiar cinematic tropes, and works across performance, video and installation. Her artworks have been exhibited both nationally and internationally, and have been included in group exhibitions at Careof (Milan), Australian Experimental Art Foundation (Adelaide), Gertrude Contemporary (Melbourne), Queensland Art Gallery (Brisbane), and Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (Perth) among others. Hine’s curated exhibitions include projects at Counihan Gallery (Melbourne) and Level ARI (Brisbane). In 2015 Hine completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne (Art History).
